At this time I only provide therapy via telehealth. Telehealth sessions are available to clients across the state of Ohio as well as California. Laws state that clients must be present in their state during the time of their appointment. If you are out of state for any reason, your appointment will have to be rescheduled.

I do not accept insurance. I am a self-pay practice only. The rates listed below are equitable to the area that I serve, so your rate will be indicative of your market rate where you live. If you are unable to afford these self pay rates at this time, please reach out to see if I have any availability for sliding scale/pay what you can afford clients.
My hourly rate for Ohio clients is $150 for an intake session and $125 for each session thereafter.
For California clients, my rates are $225 for an intake session and $200 for each season thereafter.
This affords me and my clients greater flexibility with scheduling, frequency of sessions, and duration of appointments. Unfortunately insurance has made it more difficult to provide needed services, so taking out the middle man allows myself and my clients to do the work that is needed without interference from an algorithm making decisions about mental health care services.
I am able to provide clients with medical receipts called Superbills that most insurances will provide a percentage for reimbursement of services received. We can talk about this process in session if you are interested.

As a therapist, I find I do my best work with clients working on anxiety, grief, and trauma related disorders. Trauma is a subjective experience, so please do not be afraid to share and explore these areas with me. You do not have to justify your trauma with me. My training has allowed me to focus on these areas and increase my skill set through evidence based interventions to assist clients in moving forward and making strong progress in therapy.
I have experience in the following areas as well:
Life Transitions
Grief (Anticipatory, Complicated, Loss, etc)
Religious Trauma and Deconstruction
LGBTQ+ Needs
Medical Staff Burnout and Trauma
Primary, Secondary and Higher Education Educators

YES! I am a member of the LGBTQ+ community and find it important to provide a space where you don’t have to explain queer culture or feel that you need to validate your experience. I am able to provide letters and ongoing therapy for gender affirming care as well as other LGBTQ+ needs.

At this time, I am working with patients 18 years of age and older. If you're a parent or guardian seeking support for a teen, I would be happy to provide you with recommendations for providers that are a better fit.

Weekly or Bi-weekly. This will be determined in collaboration with your therapist depending on a variety of factors including current symptoms, phase of therapy, type of therapy technique, schedule availability, and others. Please feel free to ask in your intake session what to expect!
-
Therapy sessions are typically 50-55 minutes long, however options are available for longer sessions for therapy intensives, which can be discussed with me about options for length of session and use of different therapy techniques.

This is a very good and very common question. This unfortunately is a “it depends” answer. Obviously, I want to see you make progress quickly, but things take time, especially with complex trauma therapy. Most people see results of shifts in mood and ability to cope with stressors after 4-6 sessions, but again, this is dependent on a wide variety of factors.
-
This session will be a “get to know you session.” There will be lots of questions, of course, but also I do my best to make it a conversation and not a game of 20 questions. You will also fill out some intake paperwork prior to your first session with me, so this will also help me have a better understanding of what is bringing you to therapy. This paperwork is confidential to me only, so feel free to write whatever you feel is pertinent!

Yes, I offer free consultations to all new clients. This is to help you to be able to ask questions and get a feel for my style, but this consultation also helps me to make sure I am also a good fit for you and can help support you in your therapy journey.
